Boots are recallingtwo batches of their own-brand multivitamins after discovering that the wrong vitamins had been packed in them. The multivitamins are supposed to contain Vitamin K but no iron. However, multivitamins containing iron but no Vitamin K were packed into the pots instead.

What is the danger?
This poses a potential health risk to anybody taking iron supplements alongside these multivitamins as it could result in them consuming too much iron. Taking overly high doses of iron can lead to unpleasant symptoms including nausea, constipation, pain, discomfort and vomiting.
Which Boots Multivitamins are affected?
The recall applies to 180 Tablet packs of Boots Multivitamins with the batch numbers 1805 and 1806 and the best before date of 11/2022. The best before date and batch number can be found on the product label. The recall applies to multivitamins that were sold between 12th and 19th January 2021.
In an official notice, Boots apologised for the inconvenience and said:
The safety and well-being of our customers is very important to us so if you have recently bought this product and it contains one of the above batch numbers we're asking that you stop taking the tablets and return the product to your nearest Boots store for a full refund.
Boots also reminded customers that if they bought these multivitamins for somebody else that they should let them know to stop taking them as soon as possible.
