We don't realize it, but when we're in the shower, we perform the same gestures almost every day. We all have our own ritual: some of us love to spend time in the shower, and enjoy this moment of introspection, while others are, shall we say, more expeditious in the way they shower. On TikTok, an expert explains how she thinks we should wash our armpits.

Rub armpits for several seconds
In her video, she mimes someone carelessly rubbing their armpits before declaring:
If you wash your armpits like that, with fruit-flavored soap, I can guarantee you still have yesterday's deodorant on your armpits.
According to her, you need to scrub your armpits with an antibacterial foaming soap for 30 seconds, using a circular motion (and this is even more important if you have armpit hair). She adds that antibacterial soap should contain apple vinegar, salt and charcoal.
In fact, the smell of sweat doesn't come from... sweat itself. As Pur Vitae points out:
Apocrine glands produce a milky, odorless sweat composed of proteins, sebum and fatty acids: nutrients that bacteria are particularly fond of. It's the bacteria's contact with the sweat that gives rise to the unpleasant odor of perspiration.
