It is not known if this story is true or not, but acupressure seems to originate from China, just like acupuncture. But even if the two practices are linked, acupressure does not require needles.

How does it work? Similar to acupuncture, thin needles are inserted into the surface of certain body parts known as energy points. But instead of needles, in acupressure, one presses with the fingertips.
