How to sleep when it’s hot?
Whether you live in a house or a flat, the problems are often the same when it is hot. When night falls, your bedroom is stuffy because it has been heated all day long. Because of this, you may not be able to sleep. Do you wake up sweaty and tired in the morning because of the heat?
Well, that's all over now, because we've found the perfect tip to put an end to those sleepless nights.
And no, we're not going to suggest that you use an air conditioner or a fan, that would be far too easy. Plus, these appliances consume a lot of energy without you realising it.
Sam Batterson, a British woman with a few thousand followers on TikTok, shared an unbeatable tip for lowering the temperature in the bedroom, especially between your sheets. All you have to do is use a hot water bottle! But as you can imagine, don't heat it up, but rather cool it down using your freezer.
A hot water bottle, the perfect trick?
The purpose of this hot water bottle is to have an ice cube form inside to keep you cool. In order for it to form inside the accessory without damaging it, remember not to fill the hot water bottle completely, and above all leave some air inside before closing it.
Once the day is over, all you have to do is slip this frozen hot water bottle into your bed, cooling down your sheets, pillowcase, and duvet (if you can't sleep without one). And when it's time to go to sleep, what better way to get a breath of fresh air after a hot day?
How to keep your home cool during a heatwave?
After a hot and tiring day at work, all we want to do is return to a cool home. But what are some simple and effective tips to keep your house or flat cool?
- During the day, keep your shutters closed. In the evening, air out your home until you go to bed.
- Use a water sprayer to moisten your sheets, but also the rooms in your home.
- When you go outside, avoid wearing synthetic materials such as polyester, which will make you sweat a lot in a very short time.
Of course, you should not forget to hydrate. On average, think about drinking 1.5 litres of water per day. This is very important for your health.
We hope you'll have a better night's sleep this summer with these tips!
