What time a day should you be weighing yourself? In the morning? At night? According to experts, the best time is first thing in the morning, after you’ve emptied your bladder and before breakfast. That way you’ll be getting your real weight, no brownie and caramel latte in the mix. It’s also important to weigh yourself at the same time every day so your results aren’t flawed.

Things to consider when weighing yourself
If you can, weigh yourself naked. Again, that’s the only way that you’ll be able to know your actual weight. If you can’t weigh yourself naked, wear the same clothes every time for consistency.
Also, ask yourself why you are weighing yourself. Chances are, you’re not doing it for the right reasons. It’s a good idea to weigh yourself every day if you are interested in learning more about your body – how your weight fluctuates at different times in your menstrual cycle, for example. Women tend to weigh more during their period because of water retention. Just make sure it doesn’t become an obsession. It’s totally normal to see the number on the scale go up throughout the month, and no, it doesn’t mean you need to go on a diet straight away. Getting to know your body also means accepting that it changes every day.
Lastly, don’t forget that muscle weighs more than fat. If you are working out at the same time that you’re monitoring your weight and you see your magic number rise, it’s probably a good thing! It means you’re building muscle weight and becoming stronger.
Never forget that weight is just a number. The most important thing is that you are eating healthy, balanced meals, getting enough exercise and that you feel good in your body!
