Distance does make the heart grow fonder but, it might at times make you lose interest in your partner as well. It takes a lot of effort to make any relationship successful, however, Long-Distance Relationships (LDR) require you to go the extra mile. They aren’t always easy to maintain yet, if the love is strong, you can conquer anything.

Unfortunately, that is not the case with everyone. Every relationship is different and requires a different kind of effort. Your LDR might be totally different from that of your friends and may not work out as well as it did for them. While no one can tell, except the couple in LDR, when the relationship would end, there are some signs that you need to look out for.
Missing Virtual Dates
Virtual dates are the essence of an LDR. If you or your partner start ditching each other on virtual dates or never make an effort to see each other, it is a major red flag for your relationship.
Talking Feels Like a Task
It is okay to have a day here or there but, regularly feeling like talking to your partner is some sort of attendance in school might mean you are just dragging your relationship. If talking to them over the phone or video calls is not the highlight of your day or rescheduling calls becomes a pattern, it might be time to confront this issue.
Unwilling to Work Through Conflicts
Every relationship has conflicts and how long your relationship would survive depends on how you deal with those conflicts. If your partner brushes off the issues of your relationship, it could mean that they are not in it for the long haul.
No Future Plans
Future is a vital part of the discussion for any relationship, but even more so in an LDR. Figuring out for how long the two of you will be apart, who will come to visit, or eventually what the living situation will be, is essential. If the future is not discussed, it could mean your relationship may not last that long.
Trust Issues
If you or your partner start over analyzing situations or doubting each other, your relationship might end soon. LDRs work solely based on trust and, if that goes down the drain, so does the relationship.
Questioning The Relationship
Long-distance or not questioning your relationship is never a good sign. Unintentionally consuming more content related to breakups on social media or even reading this article could mean that you are uncertain about your relationship. It may be because of your insecurities, reduced physical intimacy with your partner, or general unfulfillment from the relationship.
