According to a British study we spend a good part of our day arguing with our family. After questioning a panel of 2000 people with children aged between 2 and 12, the researchers discovered that on average parents spend 49 minutes a day arguing with their children.
According to their calculations, that comes to 2184 arguments a year - 6 arguments a day, 42 a week and 182 a month. Which is A LOT. And there's clearly no lack of subjects for dispute.
Arguments most often come up during meals, when the child doesn’t want to finish the food on his/her plate, claiming not to be hungry any more. Next comes the unavoidable discussion about untidy bedrooms. And let’s not forget the eternal bickering between brothers and sisters or the snacking before meals.
There’s always something to liven up the atmosphere at home!
