Household tasks to be able to go out
In this letter, we find a list of household tasks all associated with a certain number of points. As in a video game, the aim is to gain points by completing different jobs. The little girl, who had been grounded, could only lift the punishment by earning 500 points.
Chores for points
Cassidy’s parents assigned every task to a number of points which increased the more difficult or unpleasant the task was. Cleaning the sink brought 10 points, watering the plants earned 25, cleaning the microwave was worth 40, making dinner gave 50 points, while doing all the laundry earned a total of 100 points. So Cassidy could choose what she wanted to do to reach 500 points. This taught her to complete jobs around the house, served as a punishment and allowed her parents to rest a little.
Now there’s a trick which should amuse and inspire many a parent!
