As you've probably already noticed, most baby changing tables are in the women's public toilets. This sexism is now being pointed out on social medias, especially on Instagram where fathers have decided to join together using the hashtag #SquatForChange.

The purpose of this movement? To show that the lack of changing tables is not at all comfortable for dads, who are publishing photos of themselves with their child on their knees, changing their nappies in the men's bathroom. The other goal? Dismantle the stereotype that says it's the woman who has to change nappies.
The change is now
This hashtag, now very popular on Instagram, was launched last September 23rd by a certain Donte Palmer. He posted two photos to Instagram in which he is seen trying to change the his one-year-old son’s nappy. He was pointing out that in the men's room of the restaurant he was attending, there were no changing tables...
This inequality, however, should come to an end quickly, at least on the other side of the Atlantic: in New York, the installation of changing tables in all public toilets within six months was recently voted in while in Canada the chain of restaurants Tim Hortons has decided to put changing tables in the men’s bathrooms of all its new establishments.
