We all have been at a point where we get so tired of dating that there seems to be no fun in it. Bustle reports that a survey taken by Clarissa Silva, a behavioural scientist surveyed 500 dating app users, only to get stats that prove 65 per cent of them felt like dating was a job and not something fun or interesting that they look forward to. And this is what can be aptly said to be dating app burnout. It has different ways of manifesting in everyone and fortunately, there are different ways to deal with it too.

Take a break!
You know how when something doesn’t work you switch it off and restart it a few minutes later? Yeah, that’s exactly what you need to do with your dating life too. Logan Ury, Director of Relationship Science at Hinge told Cosmopolitan that taking a break is a chance to slow down and invest in your mental health. He added:

Don't be one of those people that blindly swipe through a hundred profiles without getting to know them. Your matches offer you the false impression that you are wanted, yet in reality, none of them mean anything unless you continue the conversation. Going after what you want is the best approach to avoid dating burnout and feel more satisfied with your matches. Send likes to the people who interest you. Be more intentional about who you'd like to go out with.
Take things into your hands
The trick is to be proactive and take charge of your dating yourself. If you sit around and wait for people to come in and save the damsel in distress, you’ll only end up dating people who like you. To actually have fun and enjoy the concept of dating, you need to go out on dates with people you like and want to date instead of the other way round. Go after what you want and don’t settle for less.
