In Guadalajara, a city in western Mexico, it is now possible to make love outdoors, and therefore in public, legally. To facilitate the work of the police, the city council has adopted a measure that allows sex in public places. According to the Huffington Post, this would allow local law enforcement to focus more on ‘serious crimes and misdemeanours.’

The inhabitants will therefore be free to complain or not when faced with people who are in full coitus or practicing exhibitionism in Guadalajara. The measure states that ‘sexual intercourse and exhibitionism of a sexual nature taking place on public roads or in public places, unoccupied spaces, leisure centres, the passenger seat of cars or spaces visible from the outside will remain crimes only at the request of citizens.’
The Huffington Post said that this measure was also adopted to limit police abuse, since they had been extorting money from some couples who were being a little too demonstrative. If this measure seems somewhat surprising, even totally improbable, you have to admit it does have its pros.
