Whilst no one can ever truly tell if your partner is 'the one', here are some pretty good signs that you're in a healthy and loving relationship:
1. You trust each other fully
Trust is one of the most important aspects of any relationship. In romantic relationships, trust is essential for creating a sense of security, reducing conflict, and increasing intimacy.
2. You're great at communication
Good communication skillsare also a sign of a healthy relationship. Being able to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and needs as an individual, and as a couple will make sure they're met faster, as well as promoting a sense of connection between the two of you.
3. You feel safe to be yourself
If you're comfortable being your true self around your partner, this is a sign your relationship is solid, as this is when you are most able to help yourself and your partner grow in all areas of life.
4. You don't hold grudges
Resentment is one of the most common relationship killers, and holding grudges ends in resenting you partner. If you do argue, try to resolve your argument before bed. Conflict management is one of the best skills you can ever learn to make your relationship last.
5. You make time for your partner
Making the effort to spend quality time with your partner is one of the integral pillars of strong relationships. Whilst getting comfortable with your partner is a good thing, don't forget to let the romance remain by going on dates and experiencing new adventures together.
6. You both have healthy lives outside the relationship
People in relationships frequently spend all of their time together, particularly during the honeymoon phase. But, spending too much time with one person can actually negatively impact your relationship and can result in codependency. Therefore, it's crucial that you continue to make an effort to maintain strong relationships with your friends and family whilst also investing in your romantic connection.
