After interviewing nearly 2,000 U.S. participants about their sex lives, the pollsters concluded that a first sex romp that didn't live up to expectations didn't dampen the spirits of most respondents.
While 48% said they had difficulty reaching orgasm the first time with a new partner, 69% confirmed that they still felt eager to do it again.
To ensure that the first time would be a success, 48% also said they used sex toys to spice up the encounter and make it as undramatic as possible.
It's perfectly normal that sex with a new partner causes insecurities and fears. These different statistics highlight the mixture of emotions that can often precede, and conclude a sexual experience with someone new. However, a first time should be an opportunity to satisfy the curiosity of those involved, and make them want to try again rather than give up!
