Diane Langton’s agent, Shane Collins, confirmed her death on Wednesday, January 15. She said:

As of now, the cause of Diane Langton's death has not been publicly disclosed.
The versatile actress had a great career trajectory. Her career highlights include roles in Only Fools And Horses, Carry On, Heartbeat, and the West End. She also starred in iconic productions like Chicago, Cats, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Fellow performers, including Elaine Paige, paid heartfelt tributes to Langton. Paige, who shared a musical group with Langton in the 1960s, described her as a talented artist with ‘a fantastic voice’ and ‘the best sense of humour.’ She shared:
She was unique, a talented artist with the best sense of humour. A kind and special woman who I am proud to have called my friend.

It was a privilege to work with her over the years, and I loved to sit with her in the dressing room hearing her stories. I can’t believe we won’t see Nana McQueen again.
Paul Danan’s death
Just two days after Langton’s passing, Hollyoaks fans were dealt another blow with the death of Paul Danan at the age of 46.
Danan’s management confirmed his untimely demise, describing him as ‘a beacon of light to many’ with ‘exceptional talent and unwavering kindness,’ reports BBC.
Danan’s career began as a child actor with roles in EastEnders before rising to fame as a heartthrob on Hollyoaks. His character Sol was a fan-favourite, admired for his vulnerability and depth. Danan’s charm extended beyond acting, with appearances on reality TV shows like Celebrity Love Island and Celebrity Big Brother.
Despite his professional successes, Danan had a history of health challenges, including struggles with substance abuse. Most recently, he had respiratory issues caused by excessive vaping. In 2020, he even launched drama classes in Bristol for adults with mental health or addiction issues after discussing his problem with drugs multiple times.
Paul Danan's cause of death has not been explicitly confirmed, but reports indicate he was found deceased at his home in Bristol. Authorities have stated that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
In 2024, he was hospitalized for respiratory failure related to vaping, and he publicly spoke out about the dangers associated with it. However, it is unclear whether these health issues were directly linked to his passing.
