Drive-thru workers can hear EVERYTHING
Pulling up to a drive-thru and ordering your food from the comfort of your car is super easy and convenient. However, if you assume that just because you are in your car, you have the privacy to be saying whatever you want to, you are completely wrong.
The employees attending to your call can hear everything that is going on inside your car. So be respectful and practice all the mores of civility that you would otherwise have followed in any public space. Especially take care not to have any private or sensitive conversation that you would not want anyone else overhearing.
When in doubt, forego the McRibs
McRibs are not currently offered by McDonald’s but it is one of its most popular items. However, according to a former employee you need to think twice before ordering McRibs.
You should order them in the beginning of service when there is a high demand for them. Otherwise, these McRibs are just left to sit in the sauce pot for hour on end. This could increase the chances of contamination and eating one one of these could become a sure-fire way to get sick.
McDonald’s ice cream machines are actually always broken
A lot has been written about the phenomenon of people feeling like they seem to always be told by their McDonald’s restaurant that the ice cream machine is broken. As per the report, people finding out that these machines are never working is actually not an urban legend or a psychological bias.
The McDonald’s ice cream machine’s design makes it so that it requires frequent upkeep and are also prone to malfunctions. Repairing them is also a long process which means that the machines could stay out of order for a while.
So, if you happen to be able to order one of these, count yourself lucky!
